About The Italian Homemade Company (Berkeley)
Fancy Casual Italian Restaurant with production of fresh pasta on site
Located at 2905 College Ave, Berkeley, CA 94705, The Italian Homemade Company (Berkeley) operates as an italian restaurant serving Berkeley in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Berkeley, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across California do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (510) 649-1495. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, italianhomemadecompany.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 687 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian restaurant in Berkeley and suggests consistent service.
Berkeley is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Berkeley follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Hmm, it was alright. I don't think I would come back, but it's important to try new things once in a while. If I remember correctly pasta base is between 11-13 dollars, and picking a sauce/topping adds an extra 4-6 dollars, so at the very least you'll be paying 15 dollars for one bowl of pasta. Kinda pricey. The bowls aren't even that big, only enough to feed one person with a big appetite, 2 people at most. It was enough to fill me up but the flavor was just not there. But it wasn't the worst pasta in the world, just one of those things where you know you could've made something better at home for a fraction of the price. Service and atmosphere are also lacking. Overall, 3/5.

Came here a few weeks ago with my family hoping to have a nice lunch. First off, the food arrived room temperature. There was a piece of plastic in my pasta, and an entire bay leaf in the lasagna that my dad choked on. At one point, my mom asked where the bathroom was, and was directed to a closet where a man was exposing himself to a woman. They said it was the application of medicine. But then, it was awkward when the host came over and insisted that it was the application of medicine. All I know is my mother was very disturbed and wanted to leave. Music playlist was frenetic and distracting. (Moana, then drake?) We won't be returning.

Great, authentic food. Homemade pasta. LARGE portions--prepare to share or take some home. Only suggestion is change pop music out for Italian tracks: Perche' no? Good service. It's an order and take to table situation, self serve. Can order ahead, pick up, and eat in, if desired.

Amazing beet gnocchi with mushroom sauce yesterday! Oh, baby! Gnocchi was the Perfect Consistency and the sauce? Holy Toledo, Batman! So frigging good that my mouth and stomach are still saying βthank you very much!β Today!! Price was crazy reasonable and service was great (Thank you, Tomas). I love this place.

The food was good, but the cashier said she couldnβt access the POS system to process our partial refund. It was quite inconvenient.

Absolutely loved this place! The pasta was fresh and delicious β especially the tagliatelle with Bolognese and a generous amount of cheese on top. The flatbread on the side was a great surprise and paired perfectly with the meal. Cozy and welcoming interior with a rustic touch, and everything was clean and well organized. You can tell they put care into both their food and the space. Definitely a hidden gem β Iβll be coming back!

Just like the one in San Francisco, this delicious pasta shop offers a mix & match option to choose a sauce and then a type of pasta. They are fast and delicious. They also offer salads that are quite hearty and accompany the meal quite well or treat yourself to one of their gelato flavors. My favorite part is that they have a pasta guide, and I highly recommend their gnocchi!

The actual pasta was excellent and the bolognese sauce was very good. I wish they offered thinner noodles. The thinnest ones are fettuccine. Personally Iβm a fan of angel hair. They donβt even offer regular spaghetti noodles. But still great taste. Like most other places, only street parking is available. There does seem to a public lot to the west, but I got lucky and found a good parking spot on the side street
